Porthilly Spirit is a place to enjoy the simplicity, pleasures and beauty of outdoor living, both on the farm and at the beach. whether it’s turf or surf, we’ve got an adventure for you bursting to get out.

We’ve teamed up with Cornwall’s premier surf and marine specialists, Wavehunters, to bring you a widescreen programme of surfing, sup-ing, sea safaris and beach fitness. These all take place away from the farm on three of the most beautiful beaches on our doorstep. Come the festival weekend, you will be able to report to the Wavehunters Adventure Hub where you will be looked after and whisked off to your respective activity.

All other outdoor activities will be available to join in on a first-come-first-served basis when you’re at the farm. There’s no need to book. All the details will be in our programme which you’ll receive on arrival.



Come and ride the waves whatever your ability. The Wavehunters surf school is situated on the beautiful Polzeath Beach, one of the safest and most reliable surf spots in Cornwall. We’ll be offering two hour group lessons, led by Wavehunters’ experienced and friendly instructors.


SUP sessions

Stand-up paddle-boarding is a super-accessible sport that gets you out on the ocean in no time, building your core strength and fitness, and whilst it’s easy to learn it offers adventures to last a lifetime. The surf school on Polzeath beach is one of the first in the UK to teach SUP-ing, so whether it’s relaxation or exhilaration you’re seeking, let us get your SUP adventure started here.


Sea Safari

Take to the ocean and discover Cornwall’s stunning coastline and marine life. Wavehunters’ boat trips get you up close and personal with Cornwall’s unique heritage and stunning array of wildlife; from dolphins to seals, puffins to peregrine falcons.


Fit For Adventure

In this workshop Emily Ackner will use the principles of natural movement to explore how building a stronger mind-body connection will support us on our adventure journeys. What does it mean to adapt to our environment in regards to exercise and why is this so vital for moving with balance and strength? A light-hearted approach to movement that will have you smiling as much as it will sweating and leave you reflecting on the physical process of working towards your adventure goals.


Beach Yoga

Rise and shine to a unique start to the day. Finding calm and strength in your body, whilst taking in the picturesque view of Polzeath beach. Instructors will lead you through a sequence of moves and postures, static and flowing to challenge your body, balance, strength and mind; before restoring calm to the sounds of the waves.


foraging With Thom Hunt

Thom Hunt will be leading foraging expeditions over the weekend, giving groups an insight into edible wild plants including seeds, flowers, fruit, herbs and fungi. He'll cover many topics from medicinal uses to Greek mythology as well as entomology and recipes. Touring the farm you'll discover those things you should eat... and those you shouldn't!


Beach Hiit

It's the ultimate beach workout! Its high tempo, its testing and will push you to the max using the beach and all it has to offer. Be prepared to work hard, in teams and individually, but most importantly to get sandy sweaty and salty.


Total Body Circuits

Cardio, core, resistance and more. This class has it covered. Join us for a class designed for all ages and fitness abilities. push yourself as hard as you want and we will be there to encourage you to make sure you get the most out of it. A cardio based class with a mixture of weighted and core moves using a variety of equipment and different surfaces will make sure everyone is challenged.


Beach Boxing

With gloves and pads provided, Polzeath beach is our boxing ring! Work individually, in pairs and all together for a fun filled workout. This class is designed so everyone can get stuck in, whether you’re a beginner or quite the regular. Come, get your gloves on and let’s box your way into shape.


SUP Yoga & Fitness

Combining balance and fitness on a paddle board. Take your paddle boarding skills to a whole new level with this exciting collaboration of fitness and yoga. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Camel estuary from Daymer Bay, whilst challenging your balance, core strength, arm power and leg strength. SUP yoga fitness classes provide a mix of challenges and moves that will keep you more than entertained.
